The “Hidden Valley of Happiness” lies in northern Nepal–a sacred valley mentioned in Buddhist texts, where there is peace and prosperity, and where spiritual progress is facilitated. I’d like to take you there…
Visit secluded monasteries and villages as you step back through time and follow an old trade route all the way to the Tibetan Border and then fly out by helicopter.
Tsum Valley is believed to be one of Buddhism’s sacred hidden valleys, and as such you will find old monasteries and thriving communities of monks and nuns. For centuries, people in the valley have depended on subsistence agriculture, grazing herds of yak, and trading with Tibet. The trails curve past square chortens and walls of stones hand-carved with Buddhist prayers. People still grow barley and tend to their yaks. Opened for tourism only a few years ago, Tsum Valley offers authentic traditional culture plus breathtaking beauty and big mountain views.
A Buddhist monk will travel with our group for this unique journey. The monk will teach basics of Buddhism, help coordinate a special blessing ceremony at an area monastery, lead optional meditation sessions, and provide a deeper level of entree to Tsum Valley’s rich cultural heritage.
This unusual trek blends adventure with in-depth cultural connection to create an unparalleled journey for you!
